Over the last month my work responsibilities and class assignments have converged in the areas of organizational strategy and performance assessment. Some readings that I’ve found helpful during that time have included the following:

  • Applegate, R. (2009). Designing comprehensive assessment plans: The big picture leads to the little picture. In D. M. Mueller (Ed.), Pushing the edge: Explore, extend, engage: Proceedings of the Fourteenth National Conference of the Association of College and Research Libraries, March 12-15, 2009, Seattle, Washington (pp. 165-171). Chicago: Association of College and Research Libraries. Retrieved from
  • Boggs, W. B. (2002). An exploratory study of the relationship between organizational culture types and a Balanced Scorecard of effectiveness measures in the church (Doctoral dissertation). Available from ProQuest Dissertations and Theses database. (UMI No. 3055392)
  • Niven, P. R. (2008). Balanced scorecard step-by-step for government and nonprofit agencies (2nd ed.). Hoboken, NJ: John Wiley & Sons.
